Let us perform wave offering to Lord SrI rAma – Consort of sItA.

Let us perform wave offering -

to Lord SrI rAma – Consort of sItA;
to the Lord with very soft and pure speech;
to the Lord of entire universe.

Looking at the Lord, with emerald (hued) body, reclining on the golden hued SEsha, as He speaks to His wife, who shines like the lightning streak,

let us perform wave offering to Lord SrI rAma – Consort of sItA with pride.

Shining charmingly and standing on both sides of the Lord with due diligence, as the (diamond) nose-studs, resembling the moon, sway in (our) beautiful faces,

let us affectionately perform wave offering to Him – Consort of sItA without delay.

As the Moon, Sun, Lord Siva, indra, sage Suka, brahmA and garuDa watch,

to the jingle of the brilliant bangles, let us perform wave offering -

to the effulgent Lord vishNu – Consort of lakshmI;
to the Lord praised by this tyAgarAja.

³ – marakAtAnguDu – merupu terangu – SrI tyAgarAja contrasts sItA’s body hue with that of the Lord – lightning streak (golden colour) against the rain clouds of dark-blue (green) hue.

⁴ – makkuvatO – affectionately. From the context (cukkala rAyani makkuvatO sari) where this word is occurring, it should mean 'brilliance' (resembling the brilliance of moon). However, as the word does not have any such meaning, it has been joined at the end.
