3 – marakAtAnguDu – merupu terangu – SrI tyAgarAja contrasts sItA’s body hue with that of the Lord – lightning streak (golden colour) against the rain clouds of dark-blue (green) hue.
4 – makkuvatO – affectionately. From the context (cukkala rAyani makkuvatO sari) where this word is occurring, it should mean 'brilliance' (resembling the brilliance of moon). However, as the word does not have any such meaning, it has been joined at the end.
